NY Coworking Space Names

Help name a future coworking space in NYC! It should evoke community, New York technology, and the evolution of the workplace.

New Work City

suggested by other coworkers and I love it.  The URL could be newworkcity.us or newworkcity.net

NWCNY.com is available. I could also use CoworkingNY.com and/or a variety of other NY+Coworking terms.

What do you think? NWCNY is amazingly short, but difficult to say. But maybe another catchier domain could be used to tell people about.

This is my frontrunner right now.

I’m also trying to get ahold of the person who owns newworkcity.com, who is doing absolutely nothing with it at the moment.

This is the best. Maybe you can negotiate to get the domain name? Or use some variation of NWC (NWCSpace, N-W-C.com, etc.)

the site’s google rank is going to be beat anything else for new work city anyway, so the domain name is less of an issue.

It’s growing on me. Especially when I say it out loud.

Well, one solution to the domain name issue to get behind the .nyc TLD campaign… www.connectingnyc.org

I like this name though

Yeah, tech is important for sure… though I think the phrase “new work” takes on the definition of a new way of doing our work in a modern, technologically-advanced society.

And I think Tech is the sector at the forefront of that.

But all of this is moot, I think, until we resolve the domain name issue.

my issue is that it makes no mention of tech. i think this is a part of what we’re about, right?

I wasn’t kidding… all the mainstream domains are taken, including .US and .NET, along with: ORG, INFO, TV, BIZ, CO.UK.

I really love this name, but we’d have to get creative with the domain name to make it viable.

Any suggestions as to a workaround? If we can get past the domain name issue, this name is a frontrunner for me…
